Attention Book Readers!

Now that I have your attention, hopefully, I'd like to talk about something that is quite important to me, if that's okay with you all?

Well I'm part of a Beta Reading Club for a book company called Behind The Story, Behind The Story, BTS, is a company in America that specialises in giving a behind the scenes look of books so basically what they do is, in these clubs, they vote on which stories people would like to know more about and whichever books are chosen, one of the BTS writers get to work and they do all the research behind the particular book so what the original author thought, any experiences, what inspired them, whatever went into the process of writing the book. It is basically designed to get more people to enjoy reading and to help with their writing.
So this club is set up for beta readers, a beta reader is someone who there to help aspiring writers with their work. What they do is, they get sent some stories and what they have to do is read it then point out the weaknesses in the story, and giving the author advice as to how they can improve and build upon the original idea in the objective that the story can become a great story. Beta readers are meant to give encouragement with their stories and point out the positives as well and where they are going right.
Also they have different specialities so one beta reader could be good at pointing out spelling mistakes whereas; another beta reader could be good at spotting plot-holes or a mistake in the tenses. Although it also depends on how the beta reader connects with the story as well because the author and the beta reader could both have different views on the characters or the standards.

Now getting more on topic, The Beta Reading Club is a club set up for beta readers who want to learn more about some of their favourite books. It is designed to broaden people’s reading/writing skills and it is loads of fun!

The great thing is that it is completely free!

Every month The Beta Reading Club sends out manuscripts for you to read in an email with a form attached for you to fill out about you thoughts on the manuscript and if you have any questions you'd like answered. I think it's a great way to connect with other people and get to know different books that you possibly hadn't considered reading.
I find beta reading for BTS so much fun and I really recommend it to anyone who is considering joining, trust me you won't regret it!

See ya later
