I thought I'd do something different today and write about one of the funniest quotes, in my opinion, from Only Fools and Horses.
Only Fools and Horses was a British television sitcom from 1981 to 2003, I thought it was one of the funniest sitcom's ever, I still think it is, and I was watching back one of my favourite episodes when the quote came up.
So the episode is called Healthy Competition and it's about Rodney and how he is fed up with being the 'look-out' in his and Del's business so he leaves and becomes partners with another character, Mickey Pearce, in the hope's their business will be more successful.
This quote that I'm talking about is spoken by Grandad while Del is quizzing Rodney on his and Mickey's partnership.
I've put a snippet just before the quote so it's not completely confusing:
Del: Well, I've gotta admire yer bottle Rodders - I must admit. You've been in the business five minutes and already you've opened up a Spanish branch. You've cornered the World market on broken lawnmower engines - what's your partner doing now, is he buying second-hand pedalos?
Rodney: No, no, no, nothing like that, no, we're - we're going into the self-catering holiday trade.
Del: Cor, what on 200 nicker?
Rodney: Yeah well, we're starting in a small way.
Grandad: What you got, a Wendy House?
I have no reason for why I love this quote so much, it just makes me laugh so much each time.
If you haven't seen Only Fools and Horses I highly recommend it because it is very funny and just completely loveable.
See ya later
Charlie :)
